The 500 pound load capacity is ideal for lifting deer, bear, and other similarly sized big game. The 4:1 pulley system with automatic self-lock makes this hoist perfect for single person use. The 4:1 ratio means for every one pound of force you use you can lift four pounds of weight. So a 200 pound deer would require only 50 pounds of force to lift. The 37 foot x 3/8" polypropylene rope is rot-resistant as well as tangle and hassle-free, so it can be used over and over again for many years. The sturdy metal gambrel is powder coated and welded for strength and security. The gambrel itself measures 25" wide x 6½" tall x 3/8" thick. Everything together weighs approx 3 lbs 11 ounces.
