Samick Sports calls it the "Ideal" because it's the ideal metal riser for beginning and intermediate target archers to take with them from the backyard to the winner's podium. Samick has constructed this 25" ILF riser from die-cast aluminum. The flat shelf is cut deep past center and the handle fea...tures a removable high grip. Archers who experience target panic will appreciate the clicker hole and removable bar setup. There are also ATA accessory holes for mounting a bow sight (includes a set of mounting screws), dual plunger holes for use with a plunger and elevated rest, and three 5/16" stabilizer bushings of use with weights and/or stabilizers. So you'll be able to use all your favorite target shooting gear with the Samick Ideal riser. The ILF connection features center alignment and weight/tiller adjustment. Includes Allen wrenches for adjusting. Weighs 2 pounds 6 ounces. Available in right and left handed in colors of black, red, white, and blue. Please specify. ILF stands for "International Limb Fitting." The ILF system has been widely used since its development in the mid-1980s because of its capacity for fine-tuning, as well as its adaptability. You can swap out different pull weights, lengths, and styles of limbs on the riser quickly and easily due to the no-tools assembly. You can even mix and match sets of limbs and risers from different manufacturers, as long as they are ILF compatible. Choose from a left or right hand bow (choose based on what hand you Draw the bow string with). Bow stringer not included. A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. Click here to see our Bow Stringers. It is recommended to unstring your bow if you do not plan to be shooting more than week. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow). Read about Longbow and Recurve Set-up

7-8" start at 7" work up by 1/4" at a time to see what shoots the best.
Really need to know the AMO size of the bow and that would depend on which limbs you put on it.
These risers end up with a very long bow in length. It would depend on your draw length though on how long of a bow you should be shooting. Please give us a call during the week at 260-587-9501 to help you choose a proper bow length.
Right handed riser yes
On a 25" riser any limbs will accommodate a 30" draw. Medium limbs would make a 68" bow for reference. As for pull weight, you will have to see what riser length the limbs are rated on, then subtract 1# per inch going from that length to 25". So a limb rated on a 17" riser is going to be 8# lighter on a 25" riser.
Yes you can normally adjust ILF bows by a couple of pounds up or down.
I really like the Carbon/Foam Discovery Limb we offer. We have 2 different lengths available. The longer the bow the smoother it will draw and you can be more accurate due to that.
It is cut past center for handling wrap around rests, so it should be able to handle any rest. Though would need more information on the exact rest you have to tell you more. As for the 55# weight, you would need to check with Samick, but I don't see why it would not be able to.
You will lose about 8# when going up to a 25" riser.
This riser would be great for barebow tournaments. Also, any ILF limbs will be compatible with this riser. Samick does offer limbs which are item # 82272X or item # 82270X .
The rules and stipulations will vary depending on who is putting on the tournament. Any ILF limb like the Samick Discovery limbs we carry will fit this riser.
