This single piece ipe wood stave has been roughed out and floor-tillered. It's up to you to finish shaping, sanding, and backing to your liking. Backing, and tip ma...terials are sold separately. We recommend buying our 3Rivers Archery's Bow Building Tool Kit to ensure you have all the tools you need. You will also need a square and pencil. To complete your bow you will need to do a final tiller. We also recommend adding a finish to your bow to extend the life and protect the wood. The stave comes in lengths varying between 72" and 68". It all depends on the lamination's and how much you work off of the limbs but you might get 50 pounds out of it , they don't say for sure on the bow .

Ipe is incredibly dense. Depending on the type and thickness of your backing, you can achieve a weight of 70+ with an Ipe stave like this. You can achieve even higher by adding a center lam.

Can you put a reflex deflex in this stave while gluing a backing to it, or should you not because it is already floor tillered?
