Kyudo is Japanese for "Way of the Bow." It is a discipline that encompasses the technical skills, as well as mental and spiritual aspects of traditional archery. This includes not only the shooting of the bow and arrow, but the building of bows and arrows as well. These Kyudo feathers are designed... after the feathers used to fletch traditional Japanese arrows, or "Ya." They are perfect for primitive arrow builders as the 1/4" of exposed quill on both ends allows for the tying of the fletching to the shaft. Kyudo feathers are a great way to add a unique touch to your Native American, Medieval, or Kyudo style arrows. Plus, they're made by TrueFlight, so you know they're top quality feathers! Each feather measures 6¾" tall x 5/8" wide. Available in Left Wing or Right Wing (Solid White only). Choose solid White, solid Gray, or Traditional Barred. Available in dozens or 100s. Kyudo arrows need both wings

I am fletching my own kyudo arrows. Kyudo arrows are a set of two. One fletched with the right wing feathers and the other fletched with the left wing feathers. Unfortunately I am limited to white only as I cannot get both wings in grey or traditional.
I would buy it again.

These are good feathers for traditional arrows. I have no complaints about them.

These are beautiful feathers but they are too long to fit in any of my fletching jigs. Is there a fletching jig that will work with these?

I'm new to archery and making my own arrows. I'm curious as to what the choice for right-wing/left-wing means. Is that just a preference or does it matter which I select depending on where the fletching goes, or whether I'm left or right-handed?

Right Wing / Left Wing refers to which wing it comes from the bird. it doesn't make any difference for shooting, you can use either wing.

The product Information says both left and right fletching is available, but the left/right pull down has only one choice.
