Their S30V stainless steel blades are Paul Bos Heat Treated for longer edge retention and ease of resharpening. Buck puts each blade through a rigorous process, tempering it to the appropriate Rockwell Hardness through heating, freezing, and reheating. This gives the 110 Slim Pro superior strength and durability. Every 110 Slim blade is finished with Buck's Advanced Edge2x Blade Technology. This state-of-the-art process was developed and perfected by Buck engineers, using an angle range of 26° - 32°. This allows Buck to match the angle of the blade to the function of the knife. All 110 Slim knife blades are hand edged by experienced, extensively trained edgers. The result is a blade that is sharper out of the box, keeps its edge twice as long, and is easier to resharpen. The lighter and slimmer knife handle is made from durable Micarta®. It's nearly impervious to water, oils, and solvents, making it slip resistant and reliable while you're tackling tough jobs. The 110 Slim Pro features a lockback mechanism that locks the blade in the open position. Pushing the rocker on top of the handle releases the lock for easy one-handed closing.
