Ask a Question

Beginner questions: I want to begin with common woods Will this help keep my hickory, red oak, or maple bow from breaking? or is it only decorative? What glue do I use with it? If I steam bend my limbs to make a recurve do I apply this after? Do I tiller

These are only for decoration of the limbs. To be used with othe 3 years ago

These are only for decoration of the limbs. To be used with other laminations and fiberglass for backing. If you are building from a solid piece of wood (in the limb area at least) you will need a backing material like bamboo to add strength to your selfbow.
