Way better than the Bitzenburger
I have a Bitzenburger jig and the BearPaw. I prefer the BearPaw because it is much easier to use. I use the straight clamp and set it to have a small left off set. The BearPaw springs that hold the feather clamp are weaker and it is much easier to slide the feather into place in the clamp. I use my right hand to hold and open the clamp. Then set the rear of the feather into… read more the clamp and press it down, then relax the clamp. I then slide the rest of the feather down with my left index finger. It just slides down into the clamp very nicely. The magnets on the BearPaw clamp on the arrow are smaller, chrome plated and weaker then the Bitzenburger. So the arrow clamp slides down and rearward very easily. I set the feather clamp onto the magnets, but a little above the arrow, then slide the clamp rearward to the stop. Then press the clamp down to contact the arrow shaft. I use instant arrow glue and gently hole down on the arrow clamp about 4-5 seconds. Then open the clamp, index the next arrow and repeat.

The jig comes complete to start fletching. The additional clamps are for making changes (or replacement) to a jig.
Most of them can do 3 and 4 fletch, this jig can even do 6 fletch if you want. I prefer the Bohning Pro Class or the metal upgrade the Bitzenberger jig. The BPE Jig can be tough to learn as it has a lot of micro adjustments.
