Great book by a fantastic teacher
I've been fortunate enough to take several classes from the author, Mark Warren, in person. Mark is a man of many talents including champion archer and champion paddler. His "secrets of the forest" series presents material taken from his years of teaching. The archery section breaks down how to approach traditional archery into a few key zones. Zones are the different areas… read more that need skill mastery. The book gives guidance on how to work with a friend to coach each other and critique the different aspects of good technique. This book keeps archery fun and really helps with learning and appreciate the grace and beauty of the sport. The paddling section of the book, while a different topic from the archery section, has a wealth of information for anyone who wants to unlock the world of water trails. This whole series is packed with fun stuff for those of us who love the outdoors.
