While Ipe is a strong and durable wood, it can also be hard to work with. By starting your bow building project with this longbow blank, much of that difficult work is already done for you, including gluing the bamboo backing. All that's left for you to do is sand the wood, install bow tips, and do the final tiller. The shelf has already been cut. It is recommend you add a finish when you are done.
